JobSummary :

In this position you will have the opportunity to be part of an organization that is focused on the development and release of new product technologies for the mobile market. The work environment revolves around the guiding principles of building success through respect, integrity, and initiative. As a semiconductor test engineer you will have the opportunity to research product technical requirements, validate its performance characteristics, and then developing test solutions for high volume manufacturing. You will work collaboratively with definition, design, and application engineers to root-cause product issues, identify opportunities for resolution, and ultimately provide quality products to our end customers.

PerformanceObjectives :


  • Within 30 days the candidate will be familiar with the productintroduction process and the Test & Characterization guidelines. Theywill have an understanding of the Automated Test Equipment used in productionand the software requirements for program generation.

  • At the end of 6 months the candidate will be functioning as a working memberof the group. They will be writing programs to assist with datacollection, analyzing the results, and communicating to peers. They willalso be involved with the development of test plans and hardware for newproducts.

  • After the first year the candidate will be an integral member ofthe team. They will be fully responsible for product release efforts andwill be expected to identify opportunities for product/processimprovement.


  • Develop semiconductor test plans thatenable high volume\low cost solutions for production test. Detail theproject tasks, schedule, and budget expectations.

  • Work with design engineers to definetestability requirements to ensure controllability and observability needs aremet to support characterization and manufacturing test.

  • Utilize Automated Test Equipment tovalidate new product designs. Communicate performance findings totechnical peers and the development team.

  • Develop test programs, analyze dataresults, and generate supporting documentation.

  • Confirm that the appropriate processguidelines, specifications, and strategies have been properly implemented intotest programs and plans.

  • Design interface and measurementcircuits that enhance tester capabilities and ensure compatibility with newproduct designs.

  • Work closely with the manufacturingsites to ensure production hardware solutions and programs are released withinthe expected delivery dates.

  • Manage the design, fabrication, anddebug of PCB hardware that will be used during product validation. Thisincludes schematic generation, component selection, and PCB layout review.

  • Attend relevant test conferences,industry shows, and/or seminars to keep abreast of industry testing standards,etc.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical,Electronic, or Computer Engineering required.

  • 5 yrs of relevant test engineeringexperience

  • Candidate must be highly motivated andable to demonstrate a history of independently solving technical problems,identifying electrical circuit performance issues, and recommendingprocess/design improvement opportunities either through college projects orwork experience.

  • Strong written and verbal skills arerequired in order to effectively communicate technical details to internalpeers and external customers.

  • Familiar with PCB development softwaretools such as Allegro or PADS - desirable

  • Experience with C\C programmingtechniques required

  • Teradyne ETS364, ETS800, Advantest T2K– highly desirable

  • Knowledge of high current devices,Bucks and Boosts a plus
