Senior Product ProgramManager


Cross functional leader of the product development process for approximately 2-4 projects at any given time. While there are many functional groups that own and deliver significant portions towards the development of ON’s products, the Product Program Manager is the central contact for a given product that the organization looks to for driving accountability and results. This individual will manage a small team of Program Managers located in San Jose, USA and India. This position will report directly to the VP&GM of the Consumer Solutions Division.


  • Leading throughout the productdevelopment process: feasibility, planning, design, product validation,qualification, sampling, and ramp – working in partnership with thetechnical leads from product design and product engineering, and with thebusiness unit.

  • Developing and maintainingdetailed program schedules, identifying and addressing gaps, andproactively assessing and mitigating risk throughout the execution.

  • Driving regular and specialcross-functional team meetings as needed.

  • Periodically and upon request,present product plans and status to executive management, appropriatelyframing status, issues, and options.

  • Contributing to continuousimprovement of the product development process.

  • Mentorand manage through example a small team of Program Managers in San Jose,USA and India

  • Some travel required


  • BS EE/ME/Physics/Optics (or equivalent) with 10years of experience

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, andinterpersonal skills (at all levels of the organization)

  • Highly self-driven andresults oriented

  • Experience in managing largeIC projects (analog/digital/other) involving multiple disciplines indifferent geographically located regions and external manufacturingorganizations - Must

  • First-handknowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes (design, fab,assembly, test, reliability) - Preferable

  • Strongunderstanding of project management methodologies, tools, and systems a Must.

  • Semiconductorproduct/platform/technology development process experience - Preferable

  • Strongproficiency in applying process, factory, and product qualificationrequirements – Preferable

  • Proficientwith Microsoft Project - Must

  • Proficientwith PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Direct semiconductor assemblyand test manufacturing experience and technology/process/productqualification experience - Must.


  • MS with 15years of experience insemiconductor industry with at least 5years in driving highly complex ICproduct developments

  • CMOS Imaging Experience -Preferable

  • Engineering breadthacross disciplines: EE, ME, SW/FW, Optics, Image Science, Test -Preferable
