ON Semiconductor IT PROJECT MANAGER in Roznov pod Radhostem, Czech Republic

The Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects encompassing complex cross‐organizational global initiatives while exhibiting an understanding of the industry standards and processes. The Project Manager identifies and addresses cross project synergies and gaps across the corporation, potentially resulting in reduced project costs and timelines. In addition, the Project Manager understands the corporate and department strategies for IT, PMO and Business areas to enable delivery of projects and programs that are aligned with ON strategic objectives. Finally, this position participates in making strategic decisions that influence outcomes, systems and process designs. They motivate and coach project team members and actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Manage large complex project(s) to deliver business objectives in alignment with corporate strategies.

  • Interacts with IT managers and key stakeholders to establish schedules and objectives in alignment with business roadmaps

  • Builds close partnerships with project sponsor(s), key project stakeholders and senior IT management

  • Directs all internal and external project team members (from business and IT) as well as vendors

  • Acts as a liaison between business customers and IT solution delivery teams

  • Responsible for preparing the financial costs, benefits and ROI for projects and programs

  • Ensures projects are planned and executed in-line with the PMO methodology:

  • Project team roles and responsibilities

  • Project lifecycle and Phase gate approvals

  • Risk and Issue identification and management

  • Change control management

  • System and User Acceptance Testing

  • Deployment planning, management and transition to operations

  • Training: Business and IT (as needed)

  • Quality Assurance of project deliverables and compliance

  • Coaches and mentors less experienced project managers and project team members

  • Advocates project management methodology principles and PMO awareness across organization

  • Monitors and manages team and vendor performance and escalates effectively

  • Contributes to continuous process improvement with PMO and IT methodology, templates and best practices.

  • Carries out other assigned tasks as agreed within IT

Years of experience:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of project management

  • A minimum of 4 years of Engineering or Information Technology experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience from multinational/global organization

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required

  • Formal training in Project Management disciplines is required

  • A recognized Project Management certification is preferred

Technical skills:

  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)

  • Solid expertise in Microsoft Project

  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills

  • Experience of managing a budget and of costing projects, capital, expense, quantify project benefits, ROI

Soft skills:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with project business teams and key project stakeholders

  • Effective communication at all levels and ability to influence project team members

  • Positive and proactive, inspiring teams to attain goals and pursue excellence

  • Ability to work under pressure and conflicting objectives
