ON Semiconductor Entry Level Photolithography Process Engineer in Rochester, New York

Job Description:

ON Semiconductor in Rochester, NY is seeking a self-driven and motivated individual to join their CCD Manufacturing Engineering team. Job duties will be as follows:

  • Support day to day sustaining lithography operations in the CCD manufacturing wafer Fab.

  • Create and/or update work instructions, procedures, and reference documentation in order to improve manufacturing productivity and cycle time.

  • Identify recurring qual failures and eliminate root cause and/or adjust SPC limits. Design and perform experiments to support root cause investigation.

  • Support general and focused yield enhancement and cost savings initiatives.

  • Summarize and present experimental results and conclusions to the process engineering team.

  • BS in microelectronic, materials, chemical, or electrical engineering

  • Willingness to work in a clean room environment and follow strict clean room and gowning requirements. Must be able to navigate 2 flights of stairs in cleanroom.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities.

  • Detail orientated, team player, good verbal & written communication.

  • Qualified to work in an ITAR environment.

Additional Desired Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of optical lithography technology as it relates to semiconductor manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of SPC, DOE, and general statistical methods.

  • Experience with troubleshooting process and equipment problems.

  • Experience with TEL, DNS, or SVG coat/develop track equipment.

  • Experience with Canon steppers, and/or SVGL 1X scanner exposure tools.

  • Experience with SEM and overlay metrology tools.

  • Computerized data manipulation.
