ON Semiconductor Custodian in Pocatello, Idaho

Description

Perform routine cleaning and sanitary work area throughout ON Semiconductors Pocatello campus. Work will require routine cleaning of the production area clean rooms with adherence to defined protocol standards. Work also requires adherence to chemical cleaning agents usage directions and departmental procedures to clean, sanitize and maintain work areas to company standards.

Duties

  • Perform general custodial duties,including emptying wastebaskets; cleaning walls and other surfaces;cleaning windows and mirrors; cleaning and sanitizing toilets, sinks,showers, and urinals; filling dispensers, dusting, sweeping, stripping,waxing, and buffing floors; vacuuming and shampooing carpets; collectingand picking up litter and garbage; washing outside windows; collecting andbundling recyclable items.

  • Follow chemicalusage directions and departmental procedures to clean, sanitize andmaintain work areas to company standards.

  • Adherence toproper use of chemical cleaning agents and equipment; follow departmentalstandards and procedures for handling infectious waste, recycling andtrash disposal; and report needed repairs or potential hazards tomanagement.

  • Restock consumablesand supplies throughout the facility.

  • Operate equipment such asvacuums, extractors, scrubbers, power washers, blowers, and small handtools.

  • Follow proper procedures inhandling hazardous materials; keeping up with new maintenance andcustodial techniques and products.

  • Communicate with building userswhile performing custodial work and providing customer service.

  • Perform general labor tasks, suchas snow removal, exterior clean up, or other cleaning projects.

  • Perform minor repairs, includingchanging light bulbs, clearing clogged drains and toilets, maintaining custodialequipment, and reporting repairs and safety hazards to supervisor.

  • Provide support for events,including setting up tables and chairs, assisting in moving equipment,setting up and taking down furniture and equipment.

Requirements for theposition:

  • Ability to lift50 pounds

  • Able to stand and walk majorityof shift, and ability to lift, bend, reach and twist repetitively.

  • Must be able to understand oral& written communications in English

  • Ability tofollow and complete a daily schedule and monitor work results

  • Ability tocommunicate effectively with internal customers throughout the ONPocatello campus

  • Ability to workharmoniously with other members of the Custodial Services team to ensurethat all custodial needs are met

  • Valid Idahodrivers license is preferred

  • Knowledge ofcustodial, janitorial or housekeeping practices

  • Required to workswing shift

  • Ability tolearn, understand, and adhere to cleanroom protocol standards

  • Ability to workindependently with attention to detail

  • Work historyreflecting reliablity and dependability

Education: Must have a high school education or GED.

Experience: Prefer to have two years janitorial experience. Experience working in and around a cleanroom environment is preferred.
