ON Semiconductor Entry Level Facilities Project Manager in Phoenix, Arizona
The position will require the candidate to be a self-starter who can work with minimal direction independently or in a team environment. There will be a wide range of projects requiring coordination with a broad spectrum of resources. Project may range from small office modifications, lab equipment installations, to large office or lab construction projects. This will include assembling a team to develop project scope, schedule and budget. Scheduling and conducting project meetings through design, construction, and close out phases. Additional responsibilities include managing or assisting with facilities projects to improve/upgrade/replace building support systems such as HVAC, electrical, and piping.
Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet the company’s strategic agenda. Frequently interacts with internal customers, mangers, engineers, technicians, as well as external contractor and vendors. May interact with senior leadership; interaction normally involves matters between functional areas or between company business units.
Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years of Facilities related experience.
This position requires excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), departmental budget processes, development and controls, administrative practices, collaborative, innovative, and coordination.
Computer skills including the MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word. Familiarity with AutoCAD and MS Project are a plus.
Knowledge of excellent business practices, departmental budget control, strategic planning / strategies, site sustainability, conflict resolution, change agent and initiator.
A working knowledge of Facilities engineering, operation and maintenance, preventative and predictive maintenance, construction practices, 5S , Environmental Sustainability Program s, Environmental Health and Safety, Regulatory compliance, and building codes are essential.
Requires the ability to disseminate complex and technical information, and make sound economical judgments of various alternatives. Also requires the ability to assume responsibility to make rapid and correct decisions especially during system failures and/or emergencies.
It also requires the ability to develop work alternative and imaginative approaches to accomplish objectives, developing work methods, and controlling cost.
