ON Semiconductor CFA/Probe Yield Engineer in Nampa, Idaho
A CFA/Probe Yield Engineer with ON Semiconductor in Nampa supports the manufacturing and testing of Image Sensor parts, with a focus on yield optimization and process improvement. The primary responsibility of the CFA/Probe Yield Engineer is to quickly recognize and react to yield improvement opportunities in both the CFA Manufacturing and Probe Process flows. The CFA/Probe Yield Engineer will actively work alongside the Shift CFA and Probe Engineering and Technician teams to quickly address yield issues and hold events that may occur, thereby helping to minimize product hold time. The CFA/Probe Yield Engineer will work alongside the Manufacturing Engineering team to identify, test, and implement yield improvement strategies. The CFA/Probe Yield Engineer will work directly with the Manufacturing Engineering team to interpret experiment results and provide suggestions or justifications for follow up actions. This is to include documentation of all conversion activities in accordance with ON Semiconductor company guidelines. The CFA/Probe Yield Engineer will play a vital role in the introduction of Optimal software as a key data analysis tool to be used to highlight rapid yield improvement opportunities within the Probe Process flow. The CFA/Probe Yield Engineer will be expected to quickly develop an expert level skillset with the Optimal software, up to and including scripting of new dashboards to be fanned out site wide as well as training of other users. The long-term goal is to have a strong CFA/Probe Yield Engineer to quickly identify, react to, and make yield improvements in as close to real-time as possible.
This position will be a first shift position that will report to the CFA Process Integration Manager.
Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or physical science discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Self-motivated and independent. The ability to work without close supervision.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A solid understanding of the structure and function of CMOS Image Sensors.
A solid understanding of the processing of CMOS Image Sensors.
Five years fab process, process integration, EFA, or PFA experience is strongly preferred.
Previous employment within a semiconductor fabrication facility is a plus
Good statistical data analysis skills are required.
Strong analytical problem solving skills that lead to confident decision making are required.
The ability to handle multiple tasks at once and prioritize issues/assignments.
Ability to work with external and internal groups with a positive, customer service oriented attitude.
