ON Semiconductor Analog Design Engineer in Milan, Italy
ON Semiconductor’s Cloud Power group is hiring an MTS level Analog IC Design Engineer with direct experience in analog and mixed-signal IC switching regulator design. The chosen candidate will help lead architecture and technology decisions as well as design complex integrated circuits that include digital, mixed signal, and analog circuits. The chosen candidate will have proven capability in designing analog and mixed-signal blocks with CMOS, BICMOS, and BCD technologies for use in switching regulator systems and other power management functions. The candidate must have a proven track record of releasing complex mixed signal power management SOC products. A deep understanding of mixed signal analog design techniques in .18u and below IC process technologies is required. An understanding of packaging technologies and layout tradeoffs are also required. The candidate must be able to work in a small “startup-like” team environment. Must have an expert knowledge of Mixed-Signal Cadence tools, parasitic parameter extraction, and verification methods. Analytical approach to problem solving is highly required.
Process technology and architecture selection
Innovative transistor level design of analog and mixed-signal circuits for multi phase switching regulators and other power management functions.
Analog project team lead for power management products
Interface with a global team including process, test, product, application, marketing, project management managers and engineers to successfully bring new products from concept to release to production.
Work with US and Europe locations for project development
Work with marketing, applications and customers to help define new products
Perform design feasibility analysis and schedule prediction
Write design reviews and product development reports
Validation and debug of product designs
Expert in bipolar, BiCMOS, and BCD circuit design techniques.
Expert understanding of bipolar, BiCMOS, and BCD process technologies.
Thorough understanding of large power transistor (bipolar and DMOS) design, layout and robustness.
Expert and proven experience in designing amplifiers, oscillators, bandgap references, LDOs, DACs, ADCs, switched capacitor circuits, etc.
Expert in various switch-mode power conversion topologies.
Expert in switching regulator IC design – multi-phase a plus.
Understanding of control systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
MSEE with 12 years (or BSEE with 15 years) of relevant industry experience with a strong background in analog design and a proven record of successfully released Power Management products.
