ON Semiconductor Field Application Systems Engineer in Livonia, Michigan
Looking for an experienced and self-motivated Automotive Field Applications Engineer to drive sales growth in the NA Automotive segment by working with the sales team and business units to drive account and product strategies and provide a best-in-class customer experience.
The Ideal Candidate will have the opportunity to:
Work with the sales team, business units, and SEC (Solution Engineering Centers) to:
Understand the automotive electronics industry trends and landscape.
Analyze/understand given accounts and help build a sales growth strategy.
Build relationships with engineers and key decision makers at given accounts
Provide technical support to customers with component selection, architecture suggestion, troubleshooting.
Provide input to BU regarding new product ideas and road map development
BSEE required (MSEE a plus)
5-10 years of experience in automotive systems including the following applications
Powertrain, electrification, body, LED lighting, chassis, and/or infotainment
Experience designing with the following semiconductor components
Power supplies (SMPS and LDO), power modules, SmartFETs, MOSFETs, drivers, IVN transceivers, and/or circuit protection
Ability to do design, simulation, thermal analysis, and bench testing for such systems
Familiarity with automotive EMC, ESD, transient testing and requirements
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationship with sales engineers, FAEs, SECs, BUs and customers
Create useful documentation for internal and external customers
