ON Semiconductor’s Limerick Design Centre is leading the power management challenge in the industry for Automotive Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS). These systems will define the next generation of autonomous automobiles with customers throughout the world and use-cases including consumer, mass transportation and commercial vehicles. With challenging technical requirements and the need to support advanced Functional Safety levels driving by ISO-26262 these products are targeting the leading automobile manufactures and partnering with leading ADAS system development companies. Now is the chance for you to be key part of the transition of this industry by joining the ON Semi team as a Technical Program Manager.
In this position, you will be a member of the new product development team at the Limerick Design Centre. This engineering team owns the definition, design, verification and validation of world class automotive power management products. The Technical program manager will work with the marketing and management teams to define, execute and release ADAS power supply solutions into the market.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to
Manage the development programs from concept definition, project planning technical execution, silicon characterization and product release with full responsibility for all operational decisions to secure the successful completion of all project targets to the required schedule.
Lead regular execution meetings with the project team to ensure timely progress and report out to relevant management and key stakeholder teams.
Manage and control the entire project life-cycle and ensure hand-over to sustaining functions as main contact person for all questions regarding the project execution.
Continuously focus on project quality, assess progress and ensure that goals are met even in the face of changes, challenges and risks
Think and act in a proactive way and to be personally committed to the customer’s concerns
Apply strong problem-solving skills in an interdisciplinary team setup
This role would suit a candidate who has relevant experience managing a large team (25 ) in the development of automotive semiconductor devices.
5 years or more of relevant experience.
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic, Microelectronics or comparable.
8 years of relevant design or other technical experience related to semiconductor product development.
5 years of experience in program management, ideally in the semiconductor industry or other related high-tech industries.
Solid technical understanding of System-on-Chip architectures including digital & analog.
Valid PMI certification is considered as a plus.
Experience in agile project management would also be beneficial.
Experience in automotive programs including Functional Safety, automotive qualification and/or automotive design requirements would be a plus.
