ON Semiconductor Maintenance Mechanic in Gresham, Oregon
Reporting directly to the Facilities Operations Manager, this position is primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Facilities Operations systems and Manufacturing systems, associated subsystems, and equipment within the Gresham Oregon facility.
This position is for B Shift (works every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and e/o Saturday) from 7:00 PM - 7:06 AM.
Provide support to engineering and operations in the design, installation, testing, operation and maintenance and support equipment.
Ensure all assigned equipment and associated subsystems are maintained in the following manner:
All Preventative maintenance is performed at the appropriate interval and is completed by the assigned due date.
All equipment remains in its designed and/or validated state at all times.
All equipment operation is in accordance with Federal, State and On Semiconductor regulations, procedures, and policies.
Ensure / maintain all assigned equipment areas in a constant state of inspection readiness; specifically, but not limited to, the following:
Personnel and Equipment Safety.
Compliance to On Semiconductor requirements.
Identify training deficiencies, provide recommendations for training and where applicable provide training.
Continuously evaluate all associated Standard Operating Procedures, engineering drawings, and various other controlled documentation for accuracy and applicability. Submit appropriate change requests to supervisor to correct any deficiencies discovered.
Continuously evaluate maintenance practices to eliminate non productive activities and implement productivity enhancements.
Perform troubleshooting of pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
Perform and follow Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and processes
Perform Confined Space Entry on an as needed basis.
Complete preventive maintenance and assigned paperwork in a safe and timely manner following all documentation guidelines.
Work in close proximity to hazardous chemicals, high and low temperature liquids, and low high pressure liquids and gasses, and moving machinery/equipment.
Coordinate with contractors who perform repairs, modifications, and installations of various equipment.
Work directly with Facilities, Engineering and various organizations on new system installations or modifications and maximize equipment availability.
Conduct work in an regulated environment.
2 years minimum experience in an industrial/manufacturing maintenance/operation environment
GED or High School Diploma
Ability to work B Shift (works every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday e/o Saturday) from 7:00 PM - 7:06 AM
Strong interpersonal skills
Proficiency in both oral and written communications
Must be detail oriented, organized and capable of multi-tasking
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations up to 30 feet.
Ability to work overtime to support operations as needed.
Technical degree, certificate, or coursework a plus.
Semiconductor industry experience is a plus
Limited Maintenance Electrician certification holder a plus
Working Knowledge of HVAC systems a plus
Working Knowledge of water systems a plus
