ON Semiconductor Project Leader - Bucharest in Bucharest, Romania


  • Manages the development and implementation process of a company’s products and services.

  • Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products.

  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending.

  • Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints.


  • New Product Development - Project Leader.

  • Define project schedule baseline and manage the progress, access and risks.

  • Act as main interface to all internal/external parties involved in the project to optimize use of all resources – labor, technical equipment, rules.

  • Follow company working rules, applicable legislation and rules, requirements, company quality policy and company requirements in area of working safety and health protection, fire protection and environmental policy, and to participate in continuous improvement in these areas to cooperate in creating, implementation, maintenance and development of quality system and ensure high standard of quality.


  • Manage the New Product Development, Cost Savings, and Technologies Transfer projects.

  • Manage the project life cycle from Concept Commit to Qualify Complete.

  • During these phases the Project Leader has overall project responsibility and is ultimately accountable for accomplishing the project milestones.

  • At the Pre-study-end the Project Leader shall review all sub-project plans with team-members and Technical Leaders from the other departments involved in order to understand and solve possible vulnerabilities in the overall project plan.

  • Secure the timely execution of the Development Project’s key milestones by consistently driving and monitoring the execution and deliverables of the various departments’ project team representatives.

  • Drive solutions to problems encountered during the Project development, qualification and production life cycle to maximize Project revenue, profitability and return-on-investment.

  • Interacts with product development, product marketing, product engineering, test, quality, manufacturing, and planning to ensure that both internal and external customer commitments are met.

  • The PL is responsible for communicating the overall project schedule, status, commitments and risk to applicable stakeholders.

  • BS degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent

  • 5 Years Technical Work and/or Project Management Experience in Semiconductor or Automotive Industry

  • Understanding of IC Market and development flow desired

  • Basic semiconductor technology knowledge and analog IC product knowledge (manufacturing flow, specification, application, cost, quality) is an advantage, basic knowledge of applied quality system and its requirements, team leading skills, good communication skills, problem solving skills, decision making skills, customer orientated

  • Knowledge of TS16949 and other International Quality Standards is a plus

  • Knowledge of MS package (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word), AutoCAD, Agile is a plus

  • PMP certification is a plus

  • Fluent in English

  • Team leading skills, good communication skills, problem solving skills, decision making skills, customer orientated.
