ON Semiconductor Analog Design Lead in Bracknell, United Kingdom

The ON Semiconductor team in Bracknell (Berkshire) focuses on Image Sensors for the Automotive industry. We are looking to strengthen the team with an Analog Lead. Reporting to the Director of Technology, you will be leading a small team working on the design of Analog Mixed Signal blocks such as ADCs, Amplifiers and Op-Amps targeted specifically at Image Sensors. You are expected to lead the Analog Team and manage the resources to meet committed project timescales. You are responsible for mentoring less experienced engineers and helping develop their careers to allow them to make significant contributions in the field of Image Sensors.

You will be expected to work with the Layout Group to clearly define your requirements when developing your designs. Because we supply products into the Automotive Sector, you will be expected to understand the implications of the requirements of ISO26262, although training will be given, if needed. Since ON is a global company, you will also work with other experienced design teams located across the world.

  • 12 years of relevant industry experience in Analog IC design.

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering

  • Demonstrable experience of technical lead on industry leading projects

  • Track record of delivering revenue generating products to market

  • Demonstrate a deep and intuitive understanding of analog circuit design practice

  • Knowledge of switched capacitor techniques and low power ADC design

  • Experience in ESD protection and digital logic is a plus

  • Demonstrated knowledge use of analog modelling to improve system verification


  • Experience in Cadence & Mentor design tools is essential

  • Device modelling experience (Verilog-AMS, SystemVerilog, etc)

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Clearly communicate complex/difficult problems in simple and elegant fashion

  • Good communication skills across a team

  • Have a wide appreciation of project priorities, and have the wisdom to make considered trade-offs between conflicting requirements.

  • Show strong leadership characteristics, providing support, technical guidance and direction to more junior colleagues..
